The Original Serious Pie

The Original Serious Pie

Airplanes are a part of a business travelers life and sometimes you can enjoy an extended weekend to sample the food and drink that city offers. On this trip Kim joined me for one such weekend. During the flight Kim “overheard” someone talking about this pizza place in Seattle that he always goes to not matter what. As people that travel as often as possible to stuff our pie holes with food and drink, this is not surprising. Nor is it even shocking, the odd part is if you have ever been to Seattle, it is not the easiest place to get around. I just could not picture anyone running out of the airport to head 30 – 45 minutes into town to grab a pizza. This is Seattle not New York or Chicago but we decided to go anyway.

Well long story short we went three times total and to two different locations. The second location also has biscuits and I love me a great biscuit with gravy. Throw some fried chicken with the fresh biscuit and cover them with black pepper Tabasco gravy, Kim and I will visit you often no matter the drive.

Yes, they are first and foremost a pizza place. Their pizzas have a slightly different texture, much more bread like, with fresh ingredients. I believe I saw a sign at the first and original location about being a “bread makers pizza”. I did not know what that meant until we were about half way through the first one! Was hooked at that point. Either hot or cold this pizza will really make you want to go back for more.

Everyone was friendly at both spots and we had to wait two of the three times but trust me it is worth it. So, not sure who that gentleman was in seat 9E but I am so glad Kim listened!!
