ARC Bar Chef Koire Rogers has launched a new Summer Bar Menu of Julep-inspired craft cocktails featuring a swizzle stick as part of his new lineup of libations with a fresh focus. Beginning in the late 18th century, it was prescribed by doctors for its perceived medicinal qualities. The concoction has since evolved into a recreational beverage and serves as the inspiration for ARC’s new summer cocktails such as the Prescription Julep, which playfully pays homage to this drink’s rich history.

The following cocktails are available now through the end of summer:

  • BIG POPA – pilar rum, sherry, yellow chartreuse
  • FRAMBOOZLED – mezcal, raspberry, sour beer, chile
  • JILL’S JULEP – amaro, vermouth, lemon, bubbles
  • PRESCRIPTION JULEP – brandy, rye, mint
  • UPSTAIRS – cocchi americano, lemon, seltzer
  • CHARTREUSE SWIZZLE – green chartreuse, lime, pineapple
  • HEMINGWAY – pilar rum, lime, maraschino
  • FRIENDLY FIRE – gin, apple, allspice, fire

Kim and I can not wait to try these. We also need to figure out how to get on these early! If you had not had any of Koire’s creations you are really missing out. He is one of our favorites in the Southern California.
